This manifold was designed to work only with the BMP single pipe and has been extensively tested on the dyno, and in the field to ensure the most horsepower possible. This y-pipe really adds great mid-range power, while still providing a 3-4 HP gain up top. Please note that adding this y-pipe to your BMP pipe makes the powerband broader extending the peak power in your machine 50 RPM lower. Example: If your peak RPM was 8400-8500 RPM, with the y-pipe it would be 8350-8500 RPM.

(Please follow the steps below to install this manifold)

IMPORTANT - Read the entire instructions before proceeding. If any of it does not make sense or is not in your skillset, please have an experienced technician perform the install.

 

Component list:

  • Bikeman Performance Y-Pipe
  • Y-Pipe Gasket (Sold Separately)

Tools:

  • 6mm hex socket
  • Torque Wrench

 

1 - Remove your hood and side panel.

2 - Remove all pipe and muffler springs, then remove the pipe & muffler.

3 - Remove your power valve assembly. On Rush / Switchback models you will need to turn the skis for clearance. On RMK models you must loosen the steering post for the valves to clear.

4 - Using a 6mm hex socket (long ball end sockets work best) remove the 8 y-pipe bolts and remove the y-pipe.

5 - Install the BMP performance y-pipe with a new gasket and torque the 8 bolts to 20ft/lbs.

6 - Re-install the power valves and torque to 70 Inch/lbs.

7 - Re-install exhaust and all exhaust springs.

8 - Go ride!
